Company Profile
TATIS is an independent South African corporation, founded initially as a Swiss corporation called TATIS SA in 2000 in Geneva.
The TATIS mission was to work with leading industry partners to conceive, design and develop an integrated application suite of solutions for customs administrations that collectively ensure revenue compliance and trade facilitation for industrialized and emerging countries. This application suite (TATIScms) was developed by the TATIS Global Centre of Excellence (COE) in Cape Town, South Africa and a first implementation is in operation in Luxembourg.
TATIS is increasingly being recognized as a leading provider of Customs Solutions through:
- An innovative technology approach to complex and evolving Customs challenges
- Strong Customs and fiscal domain knowledge
- Alliances with global industry leaders
In an agreement reached in June2007, Tsohle Technology Holdings, a company with considerable experience in public sector customs and border management projects in South Africa, purchased all the shares in TATIS SA. This led to the consolidation of TATIS Intellectual Property and TATIS sales pipeline on one hand, and Tsohle’s development team and Tsohle’s professional services arm on the other hand, into one single South African operational entity, Tatis (Pty) Ltd, managed by Tsohle. As part of this agreement, the marketing and consultancy partner of TATIS SA, GlobalLink Trade Consulting (GLTC) became a partner and shareholder of the new company.
Tsohle believes that TATIScms is addressing a large potential market in both developed as well as developing countries. The product has demonstrated its competitiveness in significant tenders over the last 2 years. Tsohle will continue to develop and market the product on the back of excellent work done by TATIS SA itself in this regard.
